I make paintings as a way of understanding and responding to the world around me. My work is intuitive and personal, often beginning with a feeling, a place, a color story, or an exploration of materials. I'm inspired by nature, architecture, and how I see the world. Color seems to be the at the center of my practice, and I continue to explore the ways it can evoke emotion and memory. I rarely know exactly where a painting will end up when I begin and enjoy the balance between intuition and intention, allowing each piece to evolve through experimentation, curiosity, and trust.

I live in New York City, with roots in Portland, Oregon, and Palm Springs, California. Alongside my art practice, I’m a designer and make large scale public art work and other projects along side architects, developers and brands.
